Influencer calls off wedding after fiancé was caught 'cheating' on his stag

Lilly Sabri has announced she and her husband-to-be Alex Tyrwhitt have broken up - alleging that he cheated on her during his stag celebrations.

The fitness influencer and her former fiancé met back in 2017 at an expo.

Since then, the pair have built a business together, moved to Dubai and have been preparing to tie the knot.

However, the social media star recently revealed that their upcoming wedding vows would no longer be going ahead.

Speculation regarding the pair’s relationship reportedly began on Wednesday, 8 November, when an episode of the popular podcast, The Girls Bathroom, was published.

During the chat, hosts Sophia Tuxford and Cinzia Baylis-Zullo discussed a message that was allegedly sent in to them.

The apparent plea was from a concerned listener who asked the duo what to do because their friend was ‘in love with an engaged man’.

The friend explained that her pal had been travelling throughout Europe and had grown ‘very close’ to a man who was on his stag do in Croatia.

The pair had apparently proceeded to meet up in various locations and had previously spent the ‘whole day in bed’ together.

Since the episode was uploaded, Lilly claimed to have received messages from listeners who believed the man in question was her long-term boyfriend.

On Wednesday, (22 November) the YouTuber shared an official statement with her 940,000 Instagram followers.

She began: “I’ve taken some time away from social media before addressing the following.

“There has been speculation online about my personal life and relationship, sparked by a podcast released on Wednesday 8th.”

The 32-year-old added that she wanted to provide her fans ‘clarity’ on the situation, but stated that she wouldn’t be addressing it further until she was in the ‘right headspace’.

“On Thursday, 9th November, I woke up to messages about a podcast episode discussing a relationship involving a newly engaged man, meeting a woman on his stag do, and subsequent encounters.

“It’s heartbreaking to confirm this is true, and discovering it in this way has been devastating.”

Lilly continued to say that she and Alex have now ended their engagement and that she felt as if her world was ‘falling apart’.

On the topic of work, the Gymshark-endorsed influencer explained that she still had commitments to ‘honour’.

“Thankfully, due to my filming schedule, these commitments were filmed before my knowledge of recent events.”

She also said that her team would be handling content uploads before she thanked her followers for their support.

“This is a challenging time for me, and I would like if my privacy could be respected.”

Following the post, friends and fans of Lilly have pledged their support.

Fellow fitness influencer Anna Archer wrote: “Oh Lilly. Sending so much love, I’m so sorry. You are amazing.”

Former Love Island contestant Rosie Williams said: “Oh Lilly!!! I’m so so sorry to hear that you’re going through this!

“You will look back one day and find it a blessing that you found out before walking down the aisle and making that huge commitment. His loss my beautiful girl.”

Another Instagram user said: “Lilly, you have an entire army of women behind you. Take as much time as you need, we love you and stand with you always. You got this.”

“Lilly I am so so so sorry about this, and as a member of the community want to say on behalf of everyone, we’re here for you as much as you have been for us over these past years, sending you all the love,” said a second.
