Punishment celebs face for contraband items after I’m A Celeb stars break major rules

Punishment celebs face for contraband items after I’m A Celeb stars break major rules

Celebs will face a heavy punishment if they're found with contraband items, as some have already found out

It's a well known fact that smuggling 'luxury' items into the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! camp is a big no-no, but after Tulisa's make-up was on full show and Dean's latest move, campmates have been made to pay.

ITV viewers were already trying to suss out whether Tulisa and her campmate Jane Moore, were noted to be possibly wearing make-up, ITV viewers were left dropping theories on social media.

But now, it looks like if you are blatantly found breaking the rules with contraband items, everyone will have to pay.

Some of these contraband items include their own clothes, makeup, condiments, food and pillows.

Punishments have been seen on previous seasons as celebs have tried their luck in the past, as Caitlyn Jenner sneakily shared some roast dinner with campmate Ian Wright when he wasn’t allowed to eat it back in 2019.

She gave him corn on the cob and chicken and revealed all the very next day, only to see her team receive a penalty for her deception.

So, what was the punishment for sneaking items then? They lost one star.

That's not the only instance though, as former Olympian Fatima Whitbread told her smuggling campmates that they should be punished for bringing in tea bags, mints, coffee and salt.

They were then told by ITV to hand in their contraband into an amnesty bowl in the Bush Telegraph to avoid facing punishment, which they did, and so nobody had to suffer.

But now, it looks like we've had a new situation with Dean McCullough, a campmate this year, who snuck in some tea bags, sharing them with Moore during Wednesday's episode.

He dropped a bag into the morning's hot water, with the dark water confusing campmates, while Alan joked that there was mud in the kettle.

After Barry took a sip, he winked back at Alan and Dean, as the latter cheered to the day ahead, with his tea.

But then, Dean's antics came back to bite them, as they learned of the price to pay for bringing contraband to camp.

Melvin found out that they would only get half of the cupcakes he'd won during a trial.

Updating other campmates, he read a note that detailed that they must 'bring all remaining contraband to the Bush Telegraph to avoid further punishment.'

Dean, giggling, then made his way there to give his tea bags up to avoid any further punishment.

Tulisa then shockingly revealed that another campmate shared seasoning with her, which she didn't use.

In response to what is actually banned, executive producer Olly Nash said: "You wouldn’t have books, you won’t have anything like a game of chess.

"So you wouldn’t have anything that could be distracting, part of this game is making sure that you are creating reality and having a chat with other people and doing stuff and dealing with the boredom."

Cycling shorts are also apparently a major no-no, with Giovanna Fletcher previously being unable to bring them.

There’s no extra underwear, sentimental items, seasonings, watches and other things that are considered to be too good for the jungle.
