Holly Madison has opened up about the realities of life in the Playboy mansion, as she reflects on the time she spent there with Hugh Hefner.
While you wouldn't expect the home of the infamous lothario to be a family-friendly environment, it seems there was some very strange stuff left lying about.
Holly, now 45, has shared some horrifying details in a new interview about what Hugh was into and what it was really like living in his Playboy home.

She dated Hugh from 2001 to 2008, and appeared on the In Your Dreams podcast to talk about life with Hefner, and how she 'hated' much of it.
She told host Owen Thiele about what life was like as one of Hugh's many girlfriends, and there was one thing in particular she hated, and that was when other people joined in or stayed in the room with them.
"Well, it’s a very different story between when we were just by ourselves than with everybody else in the room," she shared.

Hugh was 53 years older than her, and Holly says she hated the group sex that he loved to indulge in: "Everybody else in the room, no. That was disgusting. I hated it. I made it very known I hated it."
She also found the mansion itself a bit disturbing too.
She revealed: "They would have these trays everywhere, like in every bathroom, out on the tennis courts, by the pool, and it would be a tray with Kleenex, Pepto Bismol, Vaseline, baby oil, sunscreen — any kind of makeshift lube."
The model added: "It was weird.”

However, she said that despite Hugh's advanced age, she didn't mind sleeping with him: "If it was just me and him, it was a lot more normal than you would think."
She added that 'nobody' ever believes her that it was normal and nothing outlandish.
"There was a time when I couldn't post anything [on social media] without some dumbass in the comments [being] like, 'Oh, old balls,' Maybe some people's balls do get old and nasty, but I've never seen such a thing."

She did clarify that Hugh always insisted on the lights being off for their time together, so she couldn't see much to verify the commenter's opinions.
Holly also stressed that she didn't hate everything about her time in the mansion, telling People magazine in March: “My experiences that played with the negative parts of it are more related to the relationship and the relationship dynamics, both with Hef and some of the other girls."
In 2022 on her Girl Next Level podcast, Holly elaborated: "He wouldn’t move. He would be like a bump on the log in the middle of the bed. I can’t explain to you guys how embarrassing that whole routine was. Especially as we got later down the road when there would be, like, a lot of conflict with the other girls.

"You’re literally sitting there naked having sex in front of a group of people who hate you and talk s*** about you while you’re having sex, and you can hear it. It was just, like, hell.”
She said she loved posing for the magazine and all that went with it, reflecting on how she 'always wanted to be in Playboy'.
Holly added: "I even worked at the studio producing the playmate pictorials for a couple of years, and that was a super fun experience. So, it's very multifaceted for me.”
Hugh's last wife Crystal Hefner slammed his abilities in the bedroom in her memoir, writing that Hefner seemed 'less sex-savvy than some of the teenage boys I’d been with years ago', describing it as 'odd and robotic'.
She was 21 when they met, with Hugh being 60 years older.
