Holly Madison is once again reflecting on her controversial stint in the Playboy Mansion.
The ex-bunny appeared on the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast this week, where she recalled the highs and lows of working under Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, who famously had x-rated relations with his hires.
By her own admission, Madison moved into the notorious Beverly Hills mansion in 2001, facing both credit card debt and homelessness. She became one of Hefner's many girlfriends, often attending high-profile gatherings with her considerably older boyfriend and his numerous other mistresses.
It wasn't until the years after their 2008 split that Madison, now 47, told press that Hefner had controlled her finances, social schedule and working life, including during her latest catch-up with actress Palmer.
Madison was 22 when she became one of Hefner's girlfriends (M. Tran/FilmMagic) "I moved in, and then I realised, 'I don't know what the schedule of this place is,'" Madison began. "Like, I knew they had a curfew..."
The former model was immediately cut off by Palmer, who jumped in to clarify: "A curfew?!"
"Yeah, they had to be in at nine o'clock," Madison explained. "At that time - I know people think that's weird, and I always get the weirdest looks when I tell people that - when I moved in, I was like, 'Well, I'm not going to be here very long'.
"The girls never last very long here, and, you know, I'm just going to enjoy this for what it is."
Madison recalled being given a 'schedule' in the mansion (Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) Palmer then chimed in again, asking: "And the house was nice, I'm sure?"
"Yeah, and I was, like, trying to get a leg up in this world, and whatever," Madison added.
She then went on to emphasise, however, 'that wasn't even the weirdest thing to me at the time'.
"You get into little things like, 'This is the schedule', and 'This is how you're supposed to act, or he'll freak out'," Madison continued. "I thought it would be fine for me to have a day job during the day - I found out that wasn't the case.
Madison claimed she wasn't allowed a job while staying at the Mansion (J. Merritt/FilmMagic) "There was a lot of stumbling around my first six months to a year, just trying to not get in trouble."
"Who came and told you?" Palmer then asked. "Who was the person that was saying, 'Hey, no job."
Madison then confirmed again, 'Him', referring to Hefner, who died aged 91 in September 2017.
This was far from the first time that the ex-bunny had used her experience to expose some of the Playboy Mansion's most disturbing secrets.
During a 2021 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she recalled Hefner 'getting mad if someone wasn't shaved', adding that he 'liked vaginas to look a certain way', with 'nothing sticking out'.
Hefner had multiple girlfriends (Dan Tuffs/Getty Images) Madison, who was 22 when she and Hefner began dating, added that the vast majority of sexual interactions she endured with Hefner were performed in the missionary position.
"He was on top the first time, but he was always lying down every other time that I remember," she recalled, before adding that she never climaxed while sleeping with her former boss, claiming the situation 'was too messed up'.
In her 2015 book, Down the Rabbit Hole, Madison also claimed there were 'rituals' for the girlfriends, which included sleeping with Hefner before bed each and every night.
