Hairy Biker Dave Myers’ wife shares heartbreaking tribute days after his death

It's been just over a week since the tragic passing of much-loved celebrity chef Dave Myers was announced by his co-star Si King.
And still, thousands of tributes to the Hairy Bikers frontman have continued to pour in.
66-year-old Dave died 'surrounded by his family' on 28 February, two years after he announced he'd been diagnosed with cancer.

"Hi everyone, I’m afraid I bear some sad news," his long-time best friend and on-screen co-star Si wrote on Instagram last week.
"Most of you will know Dave has been fighting cancer for the past couple of years.
"Last night, on 28th February 2024, with Lili, Dave’s wife, his family, close friend David and myself by his side, he passed away peacefully at home. All who knew Dave are devastated at his passing.
"His beloved wife brought him such happiness as did her children, Iza and Sergiu who Dave loved like his own. Personally, I am not sure I can put into words on how I feel at the moment."
Describing his cast-mate as his 'best friend', Si, 57, went on to admit he'd 'miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime'.
Dave's Strictly partner Karen Hauer was also one of the first celebrities to honour the TV favourite's incredible life, as were fellow chef Paul Hollywood and Celebs Go Dating expert Anna Williamson, with whom he performed in panto.
And today, eight days since her husband's passing was announced, Dave's wife Liliana Orzac - whom he met while filming Hairy Bikers in Romania before tying the knot in 2011 - has also honoured her late love's life in a sweet tribute.
The 57-year-old began by thanking Dave's fans for their support since his death, penning in a statement posted to Facebook: "I will never be able to thank you all enough for the massive wave of love, compassion and care that you have shown towards me, Simon and our families in these past days since Dave passed.
"I want you all to know that I have read every single message and comment that you sent… your stories about Dave, your feelings you shared with me mean a lot and my heart is filled with gratitude and love."
Liliana went on to describe how 'touched' she feels to see how much her husband's life impacted those who followed him, adding that she feels Hairy Biker fans' losses 'as much as you feel mine'.
She continued: "My husband, David Myers was a larger than life character and he did everything with passion, enthusiasm and generosity of spirit.
"His energy was endless when it came to cooking and talking recipes, or biking and talking bikes."
Lastly, she went on to describe Dave as an 'amazing storyteller', as well as an 'exceptional husband, wonderful stepdad, loyal friend and in his own words, a creator, never a follower'.
"I feel I’m grieving with a whole nation… and this is something special. My wonderful Dave."
