Hailey Bieber slammed by Selena Gomez fans over latest post despite her engagement reaction
Selena Gomez announced her engagement to Benny Blanco on 18 December
Hailey Bieber has faced bouts of criticism online for one glitzy Instagram post.
The Rhode founder, 28, married Justin Bieber in 2018, months after he split from singer-songwriter and actress Selena Gomez.
Justin and Selena were in a highly publicised on-and-off again relationship between 2010 and 2018 - so their nuptials came as somewhat of a surprise to 'Jelena' fans.
Reports of tension between Selena and Hailey have been widely reported, but seem to have cooled since they were photographed together at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures' 2nd annual gala in 2022.

Selena has since moved on with producer Benny Blanco, and the two announced their engagement on 18 December, via Instagram.
Selena shared her incredibly beautiful engagement ring to her Instagram stories, writing: "Sorry last post... I've been dreaming of this moment my whole life."
Hailey is now under fire for posting a photo of her own ring just hours later.
She posted a close up of her hand wearing a gold band with green and gold gems in it, with the green being dedicated to her son, Jack Blues Bieber, and the gold denoting herself.
One person wrote on x: "[BREAKING NEWS] Hours after Selena Gomez shared her engagement ring on Instagram, Hailey Bieber posted a ring that she claimed represented herself and her son."
Not everybody was convinced that there's a link - especially given that Hailey 'liked' Selena's engagement announcement on Instagram.
One person wrote: "Y'all are making drama over nothing."
A second added: "Selena and Hailey's fans are extremely annoying. You guys are creating drama for NO reason."
Selena shared an image of herself flashing her diamond ring and smiling while her fiancé, Benny, kissed her on the cheek.
She captioned the snap: "Forever begins now."
Benny commented: "hey wait… that’s my wife," before reposting the image to his Instagram Story and gushing: "still can't believe it".
Talking about Selena, Benny said in an episode of The Howard Stern Show: "I don't know a world where it could be better than this.
"She's the coolest, the nicest, the sweetest, like, everything.
"She's truly just like my best friend. We laugh all f***ing day. She inspires me."
Selena has also been open about her love. When her cosmetics company, Rare Beauty, was named one of TIME100's Most Influential Companies of 2024, she said: "I know what people can do to people I love. My own fans, who I adore and feel like have shaped who I am, will say the most hurtful things to me about how I live my life. But he has the strength in him that none of that noise fazes him,” she said.
"It’s really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him. I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that he’s not going anywhere any time soon.”
