Hailey Bieber shared a candid answer about the health of her husband Justin Bieber after his Lyme disease diagnosis.

The Rhode Skin beauty brand founder, 28, and the pop singer, 30, have been married since September 2018 and this year, they welcomed their first child together, a little boy named Jack Blues Bieber.

In 2020, Justin announced that he had been diagnosed with the condition, which a few other celebrities have been previously diagnosed with.

The 'Baby' singer told his fans that he had Lyme disease, which is caused by bacteria carried by some species of infected ticks.

Sharing the news online at the time, Justin wrote: "I've been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my skin, brain function, energy, and overall health.

"It's been a rough couple years but getting the right treatment that will help treat this so far incurable disease and I will be back and better than ever."

Hailey also opened up about how her husband's diagnosis changed her outlook on health.

"I think with the Lyme disease and that situation, it definitely makes you more aware of your health, and I think it makes you pay more attention to how you feel and different symptoms," she told Women's Health UK's podcast Going for Goal in 2021.

"Lyme disease is an interesting thing because a lot of people don't believe it's real, and a lot of people think it's BS.

"But I've had it before, I've dealt with it. My husband has it and deals with it very deeply. I think it's about finding the right doctors who believe in getting to the bottom of any health issues that you might have."

Just weeks after Justin opened up about his diagnosis, the singer was forced to plead with the press not to use sickly images of him in their stories, and accused magazines and newspapers of trying to 'legitimately sabotage' him.

Taking to his Instagram Story at the time, Justin penned an emotional message.

"I don’t know what the algorithm is for why certain photos come up," the 30-year-old began.

"But this is so frustrating considering that I took a lot of time to get healthy and I feel as though people try to legitimately sabotage me."

He went on to explain: "This was a time where I was really unhealthy. I was battling Lyme disease, right? All of the top photos are me looking disheveled, right?

"I was obviously going through a tough time, but it’s like, these are the photos that the media tries to run with."

He took to his social media months later to express his 'shock' at the pictures he said were being used to 'make it look like he's not okay', adding: "There have been countless photo and [opportunities] for media to pick up other photos."
