Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have been inundated with praise for their reaction to a savage joke from Golden Globes host, Nikki Glaser.

Gomez is nominated for not one but two awards tonight; once for her work in both Only Murders in the Building, and another for Emilia Pérez.

And, much to fans' delight, the actress rocked up to the ceremony alongside her new fiancé, Blanco.

The loved-up couple could be seen up on the big screen as comedian Glaser noted Gomez's nominations.

"Selena Gomez is here," she began. "A double nominee tonight for Emilia Perez and Only Murders [In The Building], and she's here tonight with her new fiancé Benny Blanco.

"And Benny Blanco is here because of the genie that granted that wish. Man, lucky guy."

The pair clearly took the joke well with Gomez miming that she was in the lucky one of the two, while music producer Blanco simply laughed and kissed his soon-to-be-bride on the shoulder.
