Gemma Collins reveals she’s spent £2,000 on ‘designer vagina’ procedure

The Towie star said she was 'mega confident' due to her 'designer vagina'

Gemma Collins has opened up on a cosmetic surgery she had done and exactly how much she forked out for it.

The Towie star revealed she spent £2,000 on the procedure she described as a getting a 'designer vagina'.

Now, needless to say, it's clear that vaginas come in all shapes and sizes and we should all love the skin we're in.

However, that's not stopped people and celebs alike from deciding to get it done anyway.

For some context, the procedure's actual name is labiaplasty or vulval surgery and works by reducing the size of the labia minora – AKA the flaps of skin either side of the vaginal opening.

Some people decide to get a labiaplasty because they do not like the look of their labia.

But, it's important to note that it's completely normal to have noticeable skin folds around the opening of your vagina.

In most cases, it does not cause any problems, which is why labiaplasty is rarely available on the NHS.

The NHS explains: "Having a labiaplasty is a big decision that you should think about carefully. It can be expensive and carries a number of risks.

"There's also no guarantee you'll get the result you expected, and it will not necessarily make you feel better about your body.

"If you're thinking about having a labiaplasty, discuss it with your GP first."

The surgery involves the shortening or reshaping the vaginal lips where the unwanted tissue is cut away with a scalpel or laser.

The loose edge may be stitched with fine, dissolvable stitches.

You may also need up to two weeks off work to recover and it can take a couple of months for the skin to fully heal.

Following a labiaplasty, it's common to experience soreness, bruising and swelling for up to two weeks.

During this time, peeing and sitting may also be uncomfortable.

A labiaplasty can also occasionally result in; bleeding, infection, scarring of tissue

and reduced sensitivity of the genitals.

However, despite all of that, Gemma got one anyway.

The 43-year-old reality TV star candidly discussed the procedure during an appearance on Daily Mail's Everything I Know About Me podcast.

According to the outlet, GC first talked about her 'designer vagina' with her friend, Bobby Norris, whilst getting a bikini wax back in 2015.

How fitting.

She explained: "I actually pride myself, I'm mega confident, because I know I've got a designer vagina. I've never told you this, but I paid £2,000 and my vagina is perfect now. It looks like something you see in a movie."

And in the podcast, she shared: "I haven't got camel toe, you can have a full investigation of my area. You know I have had an operation as well, years ago. I have a designer vagina.

"I don't have a front-facing camel toe, hun. So when the paps f**k about with the pictures like that, it ain't funny. I can take the p**s out myself. But I don't have camel toe. Yeah, baby. I don't have camel toe. You've heard it here first!"
