Kendra Wilkinson has revealed why she decided to halt taking weight loss drugs after only taking one shot.

The reality TV star has spent many years in the limelight during her time as one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends in the Playboy Mansion.

However, these days, the ex-model is a mother-of-two and real estate agent, with her reality show Kendra Sells Hollywood documenting her journey in her new career path.

As someone who was once revered for her body because of her profession, Kendra has been quick to hit at body shamers in the past, writing on her Instagram: "Yes, I've gained weight. Yes, im aging. Yes, I'm not that girl i was before (playboy girl)."

Kendra shared that she had started taking an injectable weight loss drug, but didn’t specify which one.

“I started the weight loss shots,” Kendra wrote in a post on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday (15 April).

She then explained that the drug just wasn’t for her, adding: “Only did one. Nevermind. Throwing away!!”

The reason as to why she gave it up after one go, was that she was afraid of potential health issues that could arise whilst taking the shots.

The Girls Next Door alum explained in a follow-up post: “I’m actually OK with a little weight gain. Happier in life now a days.”

The 39-year-old went on to say that she has ‘heard too many horror stories’ and that from what she has heard: “People end up in ER. Surgeries. No thanks.”

In a candid talk on her feed, Kendra has previously shared how she feels about her aging body, explaining that sharing images of herself takes her ‘a second’ now.

She wrote on her social media in March (via E! News): “Wondering how much hate and bullying I’ll get for my new body and age but I’m going to post this today and feel proud of myself. I have overcome so much in life and deserve to celebrate myself and my new attitude towards life.”

While her ‘Playboy days are long gone’, moving on with her life has since been 'liberating', the former model says.

“Not as much f**** to give when before I was a little more scared of things,” she stated. “Fearing things I couldn’t control. Fear can kiss my ass now!!”

The mother-of-two has been opening up about her time at the Playboy Mansion recently, and candidly revealed that she struggles with her 'my relationships and my views on sex', adding that she was told by a therapist that she might have 'a sex problem'.

She's also opened up on the heartbreaking reason why she ended up joining the Playboy Mansion in the first place.
