Donald Trump has revealed the 'real reason'' behind why his son Barron is so tall.

The 78-year-old was elected the 47th president of the United States last week (6 November), and people across the globe watched on as the convicted felon celebrated the win with his wife Melania, 54, and their 18-year-old son, Barron.

Now, Trump is already a pretty tall 6 feet 3 inches, but his teen son visibly towers over him, prompting many to wonder, firstly, the height difference between the pair and, secondly, just how he got so massive.

"How frickin' tall is Barron Trump???" one X user penned. "His father is 6'3" and the kid towers over him! There's gotta be giants' blood in that family."

Another asked: "How the hell is Barron trump sooo tall."

"It really is insane how tall Barron Trump is!", declared a final X user.

Well, Barron is reportedly a staggering 6 feet 8 inches - a whole five inches taller than his dad.

And, according to the Irish Star, there's a very clear reason behind his huge stature.

The outlet reports that Barron is so tall due to his diet growing up after being prepared meals by his grandmother, Melania's late mother, Amalia Knavs.

Trump reportedly stated: "That's how he got so tall; he only ate her food.

"I said you're gonna be a basketball player. He said, well, 'I like soccer, Dad, actually'. I thought... 'at your height, I like basketball better', but you can't talk them into everything."

Speaking of massive sons, the internet has been sent into a spiral ever since 53-year-old Take That star, Gary Barlow, shared a snap of his own offspring.

Now, for some context, a snap of Barlow posing next to his youngest daughter, Daisy, 15, and his son Daniel, 24, alongside his wife, Dawn Andrews, started circulating last week, with many in utter shock at just how tall Daniel was.

Amid all the jokes online, many social media users were keen on figuring out the exact height of Daniel.

Now, Gary is a pretty average 5ft 8inches (1.73m) tall.

Daniel, on the other hand, is reportedly a pretty tall 6ft 2inches (1.88m) - towering a fairly sizeable six inches taller.

That may surprise you, given that 6ft 2inches isn't actually that tall - or at least not that 'massive' that it's sparked a nation-wide frenzied hype online.

Well, the apparent huge size difference between Daniel and the rest of his family could be more down to the fact that Gary is a very average height more so than him being a total unit.

In fact, Gary's height is just below the UK average for men, which is reportedly 5ft 9inches.
