Many famous faces were spotted at Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony which took place earlier this week (20 January).

Now, many celebrities were spotted in attendance on the day including the likes of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos.

However, there was one Hollywood star spotted during the inauguration which clearly left some people online puzzled.

A number of musicians attended the event, including the likes of Carrie Underwood, Billy Ray Cyrus, Nelly, Kid Rock and the Village People, who performed some of their best-known chart-toppers.

Lee Greenwood also took to the stage to join the festivities as well as Gavin DeGraw and even Snoop Dogg.

Among them were social media stars and boxers Jake and Logan Paul who were seen posing for selfies ahead of the Capitol Rotunda ceremony alongside Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI.

Several big-name podcasters were also in attendance, including Joe Rogan and Theo Von.

From the world of sport, former professional boxer Mike Tyson attended the inauguration and was later filmed on the shoulders of his previous opponent in the ring, Jake Paul.

Also representing boxing was former undisputed champion Evander Holyfield, along with UFC front-man Dana White and Irish boxer Conor McGregor.

Adding to the list, TV personality Lexi Ciccone took to X the day of the inauguration to share a snap of more attendees - one of which included Vince Vaughn.

She captioned the snaps: "Inauguration eve. Such an incredible group of people coming together to celebrate the next four years! @MikeTyson @TheNotoriousMMA #VinceVaughn.

"More to come!"

Vaughn, who has starred in a number of films including The Break-Up alongside Jennifer Aniston and The Internship with Owen Wilson, could be seen wearing a tuxedo as he attended the Starlight Ball.

People have since rushed to Reddit to share their reactions to the actor's attendance, with one person writing: "Pour one out for him and Snoop. Tough week."

"Vince Vaughn?? So disappointed." a second penned, while a third chimed in: "Hot damn, Vince Vaughn too. The list is endless. Not surprised, just disappointed."

Another wrote that they didn't have his appearance 'on their bingo card'.

Referencing an incident in 2020 where Vaughn was seen shaking hands with Trump during a college football game, a final Redditor added: "It’s not new either. As a massive Vince Vaughn fan I was super disappointed when this interaction occurred in 2020."

In response to the backlash he'd received for shaking Trump's hand on social media, the actor, who has described himself as libertarian, said to the Los Angeles Times that he was 'cordial' to all the politicians he meets, including Nancy Pelosi.

"It was the only time I’ve ever met him. We said hello. He was very personable. I didn’t get into policies." he said.
