It's been less than a week since it emerged that Abby Hensel had tied the knot with long-term partner Josh Bowling, but sadly, it sounds as though couple are experiencing trouble in paradise already.

For those unfamiliar, Abby and her conjoined twin sister Brittany, 34, are famed for their own eponymous TLC show, which began in 2012 after the pair appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show back in 1996 at just six years old.

Abby and Brittany are conjoined by the dicephalus, sharing a bloodstream and all organs below the waist, with the former controlling the right side of the body, and the latter controlling the left.

Ever since they first appeared on television almost 30 years ago, the twins have sparked intrigue from viewers who have remained curious about the ins and outs of their daily life.

However, Abby and Brittany have consistently remained positive, telling fans on their show: "Our parents never let us use that as an excuse. We were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted to do."

And thankfully, the twins practiced exactly what they preached, going on to attend Bethel University together and passed their driving test before becoming teachers.

They now both teach the fifth grade at a school in Minnesota, the state from which they hail.

But it isn't just their working life that has avoided being impacted by their rare living situation, with the duo proving their love life remains entirely intact.

It recently emerged that Abby has been married to nurse and army veteran Josh since 2021, with images from their joint Facebook page showing their happy wedding day.

Ever since the marriage was reported by press around the world last week, however, both Abby, Brittany and Josh have been subjected to a heartbreaking flood of hateful comments.

Fortunately, however, the twins are refusing to get small minded internet users stand in the way of their happiness, and have hit back with a now-viral TikTok response.

Atop a picture of Abby, Brittany and Josh, the pair penned: "This is a message to all the haters out there.

"If you don't like what I do, but you watch everything I'm doing, you're still a fan."

And in the video's comments, many viewers were quick to heap praise onto the twins for taking a stand against online trolling.

"Congratulations! I wish you all long life of health, prosperity & joy," one wrote.

Another went on: "Oh my goodness! What you’ve had to overcome and endure in your lives and look at all that you have accomplished- keep going and setting a good example of kindness and positivity and CONGRATULATIONS!!!"
