Christina Applegate has issued a sad update for anyone who 'doesn't understand' her medical condition, multiple sclerosis (MS).
The 53-year-old Anchorman actress was diagnosed with the chronic autoimmune condition, which affects the brain and spinal cord, in the summer of 2021 and has since been candid about her health issues in order to help shine a light on the condition.
And her latest update on the matter came just earlier this week. Taking to Instagram on Monday (17 November), Applegate shared a live photo of herself donning a pair of ripped denim jeans, brown heeled boots, a black top and a blue denim shirt tied up over it alongside her signature moon necklace.
If you look closely at her right hand, you can see the Hollywood A-lister cheekily holding up a middle finger as she rests her hands on her jeans.

The post, which was shared to her 860k followers, was accompanied with quite the firm message about how her mental well-being can directly affect her physical health.
Applegate candidly shared: "For people who don’t understand MS. When we get stressed or upset our symptoms get worse. I had something happen to me on Friday and I have fallen like 5 times. Legs are busted.
"So if you know someone with a disease like this, maybe think…"
Fans and fellow celebs alike have since rushed into the comments to share their words of support for the Dead to Me star, with Jennifer Love Hewitt writing: "Sending you all my love."
"You’re an amazing woman and inspiration," penned another fan, while a third chimed in: "Love your attitude and sass, keep strong! You’re so inspiring!"
Applegate's post comes just a month after she debuted on the social media platform, writing at the time (16 October): "Hi everyone, Christina here. If you told me a year ago that I’d be on Instagram, I would have said, F*ck off! But here I am, so I’m going to do it my way. Real, raw, honest."

Since then, Applegate has been using the platform to promote her upcoming book, titled You with the Sad Eyes: A Memoir.
The memoir, which is scheduled for release in March next year, will chronicle the actress' perseverance through abuse, abandonment, insecurities, self-doubt, body dysmorphia and assault.
She'll also shed light on 'the pain matched by the joy, the losses mitigated by the extraordinary'.
Applegate added that this book is the product of her being 'forced to slow down'.
"I’ve had a career in TV and film since I was 3 years old, and I loved it. But with MS, all the things I thought were important shifted," she stated in the official Little, Brown and Company press release.
"For a long time, it felt impossible to find the meaning in everything I’ve been through, but for the first time in my life I’ve been able to stop and reflect."
