Multiple sclerosis (MS) sufferer Christina Applegate has opened up on one of the most 'f*****g bizarre' symptoms of the condition.
The much-loved Dead to Me actress was diagnosed with MS back in 2021.
Since then, she has used her diagnosis as a means of dispelling taboos relating to the chronic condition, as well as raise awareness of both the most common and most obscure symptoms.

For those in need of a reminder, MS is a life-long ailment which sees both the brain and the spinal cord mistakenly attacked by the immune system, which fails to recognise it.
According to the NHS: "This damages and scars the sheath, and potentially the underlying nerves, meaning that messages travelling along the nerves become slowed or disrupted."

The 53-year-old has long been an open book when it comes to her experience with MS, speaking about the highs and lows of the condition on her MeSsy podcast - which she presents with fellow sufferer Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

And this week, Applegate claimed she'd been surprised to find out how the lesions on her brain caused by the condition affect her mobility.
Sigler began the discussion, emphasising how important to discuss every possibly side effect with medics.
"I think that the more we can understand what's happening to us, we also can give ourselves, like, a little more grace, a few more pats on the back, maybe? I don't know," she admitted
"I totally am right there with you," Applegate agreed. "When I hear this stuff, I'm like, 'Oh no, but I'm fine brain-wise'. But I have a disease of the brain."

She went on to reveal: "If I touch my forehead, my toes curl.

"Has that ever happened to you? Well, no, because you don't have all the lesions on the brain."
The Anchorman actress then elaborated on the peculiar symptom, adding: "When I touch my forehead sometimes - like, right now - my toes are curling.

"Oh, you should see this f*****g s**t going on. My whole foot is rotating right now from just touching."
Later on in the podcast, Applegate could be heard demonstrating her involuntary foot movement, with Sigler chiming in to say: "That's so weird. She's touching her forehead and her foot is moving."
"Yeah," the movie star went on. "It's f*****g bonkers."
Applegate also revealed that the odd sensational wasn't limited to her forehead and foot.

"If I touch, like, my hip, then my left leg will do weird s**t," she said.
"It's all so connected with this disease. With the nerve situation."
