Chad Lowe has broken his silence following the devastating loss of his teenage daughter, Fiona, sharing a poignant message about grief, faith and what happens after death.
The Bones star, 58, returned to social media on Thursday (8 Oct), more than a week after his family announced the devastating news.
Fiona, 13, was the middle child of Chad and his wife producer Kim Painter with the couple also sharing daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
The family announced Fiona's death in a statement shared with PEOPLE on 29 September, remembering her as a much-loved daughter and sister.

"We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona," they said.
Describing the teen's personality, the couple continued: "Fiona was a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.
"She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives."

Two days later, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed that Fiona's manner of death was suicide.
The family said Fiona's passing was devastating and asked for prayers and privacy as they grieved, simultaneously encouraging anyone struggling with their mental health to seek support, sharing details of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US.
Returning to Instagram this week, Chad reposted a heartfelt clip featuring Irish author Gerry Hussey discussing spirituality and what he believes happens when we die.
The video showed Hussey chatting on Olivia Hunt's On Healing podcast, where he famously reflected on the relationship between the human body and the spirit, suggesting that there is a deeper connection to existence beyond what we can see.
"We both possess the human and the divine," Hussey says.

The writer goes on to discuss what he believes happens when someone passes away, adding: "So when we die, where do we go? We return to a state of peace and love."
The post marks Chad's first public social media activity since Fiona's death was announced.
Chad's eldest daughter, Mabel, previously shared a heartbreaking tribute to her younger sister on Instagram.
Alongside a collection of photographs capturing moments from their childhood, she wrote: "I love you so much, Fiona. I wish your short time here was easier and I hope your mind is at ease now.
"I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, I hope you knew just how much."
Fiona's grandfather, Charles 'Chuck' Lowe, also paid tribute to his granddaughter, sharing a photograph of her smiling in a swimming pool.
"Rest in peace sweet Fiona," he wrote.

The family had already endured a devastating period following the loss of their Los Angeles home in the Palisades Fire in January 2025.
At the time, Chad praised his daughters' resilience as they returned to see what remained of their home, describing being their father as his 'life's greatest joy and privilege'.
