The father of Chad Lowe has paid tribute to the life of his teenager granddaughter, Fiona, following her unexpected death earlier this week.
Charles 'Chuck' Lowe took to Instagram on Wednesday (30 Sept) to remember Fiona, sharing a throwback photograph of the teenager smiling while swimming in a pool.
Chuck's emotional social media post comes just one day after actor and director Chad confirmed the devastating news in a joint statement with his producer wife Kim Painter.
The couple, who also share daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10, described Fiona as a loving, smart and creative young girl who loved to dance in a statement given to PEOPLE.

"We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona," they began.
Chad and Kim went on to describe their daughter as adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents.
"In fact, she was the light of our lives," they continued.
The family also asked for prayers and privacy as they grieve, reminding their fans to reach out for help if they find themselves battling mental health woes.
"Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time," the couple wrote. "If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988."
In a tribute of his own, Fiona's grandfather Chuck - also the father of Chad's actor brother, Rob Lowe - wrote: "Rest in peace sweet Fiona."

Bones actor Chad previously described being a 'girl dad' as an 'incredible privilege' during a 2024 appearance on the Still Here podcast.
"It’s so interesting because [I’m] always wanting to have my own experiences and not live in the shadow or follow in the footsteps of somebody," he continued.
"I get the experience of being a girl dad. I feel like having daughters is such an incredible privilege.
"I know that there are struggles, and now it’s taken what I’ve known intellectually, and it’s put it in my heart because I now have three daughters."
Chad, 58, went on to say: "And so, I look at the world from really their perspective and I see the world and a lot of the injustices in the world from their perspective."

Back in February of this year, the star also recalled the devastating loss of the family's Palisades home in wildfires that took over Los Angeles.
"Almost a month after we evacuated our girls finally got to go back to see what’s left of their home," Chad continued. "The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable.
"I am in awe of their spirit and resilience. Helping them navigate these tough times is my sole purpose."
