A possible answer as to why Brooklyn Beckham has unfollowed his famous family on Instagram has been speculated.
For those who missed the big-name beef, 20-year-old Cruz Beckham took to Instagram on Sunday (21 December) to respond to rumours David and Victoria Beckham had unfollowed Brooklyn. He claimed Brooklyn had in fact blocked all of them unexpectedly.
This comes amid ongoing reports that the brood are enduring some serious family tension.
For several years now, Brooklyn, 26, and his American actress wife Nicola Peltz are said to have been embroiled in a spat with his parents, ex-England star David, 50, and Spice Girls mother Victoria, 51.

Apparently, it all started ahead of their April 2022 nuptials, with the two leading ladies supposedly butting heads over dresses, first dances and all things in between.

Anyway, back to this week's news - on Instagram, Cruz began by branding gossip that David and Victoria had unfollowed their eldest first as 'not true'.
"My mum and dad would never unfollow their son," he added. "Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked - as did I."
It isn't just Brooklyn's parents and his brother that received an unfollow, however, but the family's youngest two - Romeo, 23, and their 14-year-old sister Harper.
Since Cruz spilled the tea, celebrity gossip fans have wondered what may have prompted Brooklyn brutal move.
According to The Sun, the entire fiasco stemmed from mum Victoria 'liking' a video of his, in which the amateur chef teaches his followers how to properly cook a roast chicken.
In a video shared earlier this month, Brooklyn explains: "So it has been beer-brining for the last 24 hours and I'm just finishing putting some rosemary butter around - and that is my simple way of making a chicken breast, some potatoes and vegetables in my Express."

(The final remark referenced the clothing brand the star is an ambassador for, by the way.)
Whilst some fans clocked onto the comment at the time - with one mentioning Brooklyn and telling him, 'Yay!!! Family is everything' - the mother-of-four's display of affection was said to have rubbed her eldest up the wrong way.
And apparently, it all became too much for him, sparking the decision to block his family online, so as to prevent similar social media interactions in future.
On this, according to The Mirror, a family insider also reiterated: "It appears that Brooklyn has blocked them to show them that's it, this is final. It is very clear that this is a sign of his complete estrangement from his family."
There have been several signs of trouble brewing between Brooklyn and Nicola and the other Beckhams.
Brooklyn has been accused of covering up a 'Mama's Boy' tattoo with a new piece of art featuring words that Nicola wrote to him in a note before their wedding.

Then Nicola and Brooklyn failed to attend David's lavish 50th birthday bash, being spotted in London days before the event, but never showing up.
The couple's eldest and his other half also failed to publicly celebrate the former England captain's knighthood back in October, with Brooklyn being accused of further rubbing salt in the wound by telling wife Nicola on Instagram around the same time, 'I will always choose you'.
Awkward!
