Britney Spears fans have been left concerned after she was seen with a bandaged hand in a recent Instagram video.

Many fans were shocked when the '...Baby One More Time' singer uploaded her latest video dancing with a pair of knives, leaving many beyond worried about her health and wellbeing.

The concerns ended up resulting in police visiting Spears for a welfare check and, a week after the viral knives dancing video was uploaded, the star posted another video dancing with a bandage wrapped around the fingers of her right hand.

Have a look:

A spokesperson for Ventura County Sheriff's Office confirmed to The LA Times that a law enforcement wellness check took place at Spears' home in Thousand Oaks, California last month (27 September).

When they arrived, Spears' attorney and a member of her security team told the deputy that she was fine and not in any danger.

In a post to Instagram of a photograph of a ballerina standing on top of knives, pointed into the floor, Spears slammed being subject to welfare checks.

She wrote: "Is it a joke in the news again with welfare checks??? Come on America … we cooler than that, right ??? The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do four minute performances with them.

"I am getting an apology. I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now…ITS ENOUGH! "Don’t talk about it, come on, let’s DO !!! As my mom does the silent treatment when paps ask questions about her own daughter as if I’m in the wrong…nope it’s an old game. People need to be responsible for their actions! It’s about power for cops."

Another dancing clip was reportedly posted to Spears' 42.1 million followers yesterday (9 October) but has since seemingly been deleted.

In the video, the 41-year-old danced along to Beyonce's 'Daddy Lessons' wearing a black long-sleeve top, either a pair of animal print pants or bikini bottoms and black boots with a few white towels on the floor beside her.

Some viewers seem to believe the bandage on Spears' right hand could be down to an injury sustained during one of her knife dances, however, this has not yet been confirmed.

She reportedly captioned her post: "So many people have done remixes to my songs without my knowledge.

"So I guess it’s safe to say I will be redoing this song eventually !!! Just need to meet Jay-Z and add a rap to it...what’s up?"

Spears said she didn't use 'real knives' in the viral Instagram post.

According to LBC, fans were quick to voice their concern in the comments section, with one Instagram user writing: "White towels everywhere? You good?"

A second chimed in: "It’s sad to watch."

"I watched you from a young girl til now and I pray for you - for peace (in many ways)," added a third.

It is important to note, however, that Spears said that the knives in the viral post were not real.

She captioned one of her recent dancing videos: "I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA.

"These are not real knives. No one needs to worry or call the police. I’m trying to imitate one of my favourite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by !!!

"Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks!"

Tyla has contacted Britney's reps for comment.
