Fans slam Blake Lively after she makes Kate Middleton ‘joke’ about photoshop incident

Fans slam Blake Lively after she makes Kate Middleton ‘joke’ about photoshop incident

"Feeling cruel much?" one person asked

Even though the initial shock of Kate Middleton’s doctored Mother’s Day image has died down (sort of…) the drama is far from over.

Getty Images have released a statement confirming a second photo that was taken by the Princess of Wales has been digitally altered.

It seems that Kate is wrapped up in a never-ending Photoshop nightmare alongside recovering from planned abdominal surgery.

Whilst many people have expressed their shock that all is not what it seems over in the Palace, others have jumped at the chance to crack jokes.

Kim Kardashian captioned her Instagram post last week: “On my way to go find Kate.”

And now, it seems that 36-year-old Gossip Girl royalty, Blake Lively, couldn’t resist poking fun either.

Promoting her newest line of products for her drink brands, Betty Buzz and Betty Booze, Blake posted an obviously photoshopped campaign shot.

In the image, Blake’s thumb has been dramatically enlarged, and a lemon is flying at her face.

Her head has been photoshopped on a distorted body, and the bricks are bent on the ground.

Blake captioned the shot, posted to her 44million followers, with: “I’m so excited to share this new photo I just took today to announce our 4 new @bettybuzz & @bettybooze products!

“Now you know why I’ve been MIA.”

Not everybody got on board with the joke.

This is a nod to the weeks of speculation regarding the Princess of Wales' whereabouts - which came to an end yesterday as it was reported that she was spotted at a farm shop in Windsor.

Instagram users rushed to Blake's comments, which are now flooded with people slamming the actress for making a joke in poor taste.

One wrote: “I always been a fan, but this 'joke' is so disappointing."

Another added: “So disappointed. Imagine if this was you, recovering from surgery at home and people mocking you.”

A third chimed in: “I really like you Blake but this is just gross. I will not be supporting you or your brand anymore.”

Another echoed: "Feeling cruel much?"

Whilst the comments are largely critical, one person did see the funny side.

They wrote: “People who don’t get the joke don’t get Blake’s humor.”

Maybe that’s the last joke we’ll hear from an A-lister for a while.
