The Met Gala is known for stunning fashions, and there is one famous face fans have noticed is missing.
Billy Porter is known for his beautiful style, and he has only appeared at the high fashion event back in 2019.
He was speaking on Bevvi Smith's podcast, Bevelations, and the star revealed: "I haven't been invited back since 2019."
“That’s the only time I’ve ever gone and the only time I’ve ever been invited and I was invited by Ryan Murphy that year.”

He was working with Murphy at the time on a show called Pose, and wore an incredible gold outfit dressed as an ancient Egyptian sun god.
Porter also shared his thoughts about the famous Met Gala themes, with last year's being Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
He pointed out that 'last year was black dandyism and I was not invited.'

He revealed the reason he doesn't want to go anymore anyway: "I don’t go to places where I’m not welcome."
The star also says he's moved past needing that kind of validation and said that he's 'reached a level' where he doesn't need it 'from the outside'.
“Last year was Black dandyism and I was not invited, I’m just going to throw that out there. The reality is when people ask me, you need to know I was not invited and I don’t go to places where I’m not welcome.”
According to E! News, he insists he's 'all good' despite the snub, as he knows he's 'earned' it.
“I’ve earned the invitation and it’s OK that I don’t have it because there’s a level that I’ve reached that doesn’t require validation from the outside,” the icon confessed.
“So, I’m going to sit and live in that because it helps keep me sane too," he added.

Back in 2024, Porter missed the event because his mum sadly passed away.
"I just lost my mom, I have to take care of myself, so I'm doing that. And that means not going to the party sometimes," he said at the time.
He joked 'daddy's tired,' and said honestly "I can't do everything."
2019's theme which inspired the Egyptian outfit was 'Camp: Notes on Fashion', and according to E! News he explained the inspiration at the time: “Ryan Murphy said I should do all five looks from Diana Ross in Mahogany."
He joked: “I thought that sounded like too much work, but out of that came the idea to do Egyptian. Camp is the art of being extra in its finest and highest form. I’m glad we get to reclaim that word and make it a positive again, because it’s been a negative and a pejorative for too long.”
The Broadway icon was also hospitalised with a severe case of sepsis last year.
