āWe used to have a thing, my ex-wife and I, when they would see something on a supermarket stand,ā he told the publication.
āWe would say, well, āYou know this isnāt always true because if it were, you would have 15 brothers or sisters or whatever the number of stories is where they said that your mom was pregnant.ā

Speaking about his public divorce from Lopez - whom he married in July 2022 after reuniting a year before - Affleck remarked how some fans treat his life like a soap opera.

āThat soap opera is actually independent of a movie you might make or be in. Theyāre interested in just the general soap opera and you became a character in that soap opera.
āYou donāt write it, you donāt direct it, you donāt even know youāre in it, but you are.ā
However, the father-of-three insists there is āno scandal, no soap opera, no intrigueā surrounding their split, remarking that breaking up with Lopez was ājust sort of āembarrassingā.
āIt feels vulnerable,ā he added. "I guess thereās a tendency to look at breakups and want to identify root causes or something.
āBut honestly, like I said, the truth is much more quotidian than probably people would believe or would be interesting.ā
Court documents obtained by BBC stated that Lopez legally ended her and Affleckās marriage two years to the date of their second wedding ceremony in Georgia.
The documents stated that the āJenny From the Blockā singer had listed their separation date as 26 April, citing āirreconcilable differencesā when asked to give a reason for her request.
