Ashley Tisdale’s ‘honest thoughts’ on Ozempic praised by fans

High School Musical star Ashley shared her thoughts about the GLP-1 medication

High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale has shared her thoughts about Ozempic and other GLP-1 medications.

Fans have been praising the star for sharing her thoughts and for using her profile to raise discussions.

Tisdale, who shot to fame as Sharpay Evans in the smash-hit Disney movie, shared a post on Instagram by writing a series of text posts over arty photos.

She captioned the post: "Because TikTok loved this one… leaving it here too", and linked to her website where she said she has written a full blog post.

Over the pictures, the star wrote: "My honest thoughts on Ozempic."

"In the past few years it feels like everyone's either on a GLP-1 drug or is talking about starting it," she mused.

"I've had moments where I've wondered, 'Is everyone using Ozempic except me?'"

"To be clear, I have zero judgements towards using it or similar medications. I believe it's your body and your decision to make", added the star.

Ashley continued: "But when I see people who are already thin signing up for it, I can't help but think how body trends keep shifting..."

She confessed to being 'tempted' to use the GLP-1 medication.

"Even though there are days I've been tempted, I've decided that it isn't for me. What I'm most interested in is the why behind my desire to change my body," she wondered.

"What am I actually chasing? What part of me isn't feeling okay as I am? I've worked hard to accept my body as it's evolved through two pregnancies, auto-immune flare-ups and different seasons of womanhood."

"At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you're taking medication, switching up your workouts or simply practicing a little self-kindness. The real win is making peace with the person in the mirror and choosing the path that helps you feel strong, confident and at home in your body," she finished.

Fans praised Ashley in the comments for her writing: "Thank you SO much for sharing this," wrote one.

"Amen! Especially knowing how I reacted to implants, I am so wary of anything foreign that doesn’t *need* to be in my body. Thanks for sharing," wrote another.

"Thank you!! It means so much to hear this from a person I have looked up to since childhood. Asking ourselves why we want to change our bodies and having that honest conversation with ourselves in the first place. Thank you for being you and sharing this," raved another.

"Finally and well spoken! The conversation that no one wants to open and needs to be!," added one.
