1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton has sparked quite the debate online over one particular detail regarding her upcoming meet and greet event.
The 37-year-old reality TV personality, who rose to fame alongside her older sister Tammy Slaton, 38, on the TLC programme, has left fans seriously divided after sharing the information for her fan event set to take place in Dawson Springs later this year (13 September).
At the event, Amy will meet with her dedicated fans and showcase some of her original artwork, which will also be for sale, should any attendees want to purchase.
Taking to Instagram to announce the news with her 698k followers, Amy shared an infographic which dubbed her as a 'social media influencer'.

It also included a photo of her stood in front of the Blanchards Gracious Acres sign along with the address of the venue, the times of the meet and greet, and her full name framing the snap.

She captioned the announcement post: "Wanna meet me in person???"
It didn't take long for fans to notice the text at the bottom of the announcement, which confirmed that Amy would be charging $20 for a selfie and $30 for an autograph at the event.

While some understood the monetisation, others were left utterly outrage over her alleged 'gross behaviour'.
One critic lamented: "This is disappointing, I remember watching you and Tammy have your first meet and greet and it was about the fans and you guys cared about your impact on people.
"Charging 20$ for a selfie and 30$ for an autograph is gross behaviour. What ever happened to being humble and gracious."
A second agreed: "Hey Amy! Huge fan here, may I ask why you are charging to meet you? I understand selling your art, but charging for a pic or autograph is wild to me."

"You charge for your autograph?" hit out a third.
Others, however, clearly weren't deterred by the 'wild' pricing.
"This would truly be the coolest thing ever to meet you. I've watched your show since it came on!" penned a fourth buzzing fan, while a fifth defended: "I mean that's standard for the industry!"
Another slammed: "Why wouldn't she charge? She's a celebrity and is taking her time, energy and brand for fans to see. Would you ask other celebrities this question? You obviously follow her bc you saw her on TV bc she is famous. You fkn trolls are so ignorant."

And a final Instagram user declared: "Why is it ridiculous? People pay, clearly it's not ridiculous. Gotta pay bills somehow. You jealous?"
