This Country may be one of our very favourite British comedies, so we were delighted to find the show has been remade for an American audience.

And there's some big guns behind the adaptation, with the team behind The Office US and Sex and the City to create the series, originally on the BBC as a mockumentary from sibling comedy duo Daisy May and Charlie Cooper.

The first trailer is now here. Be sure to watch below.

Titled Welcome to Flatch, the synopsis reads: "When a documentary crew sets out to explore the lives of residents in a small American town - their dreams, their concerns - they stumble upon the midwestern town of Flatch, which is made up of many eccentric personalities.

"It's a place you want to visit and maybe even stay. If there was a decent motel. Which there is not."

Daisy May and Charlie's characters from the original will be played by newcomers Chelsea Holmes and Sam Straley, while Seann William Scott, Aya Cash, Taylor Ortega and rising stars Krystal Smith and Justin Linville will also feature.

The series is billed to air on American network Fox in early 2022.

This Country was hugely popular in the UK, and saw Daisy May and Charlie take home BAFTA trophies for their work. Fingers crossed Welcome To Flatch follows in its footsteps.

In other news, we don't have long until we see Daisy May back on British screens, as she's set to star in new comedy, Cash Carraway.

The series, based on the book Skint Estate by Cash Carraway, follows a young, working-class single mum and her daughter as they struggle with austerity in the UK today.

Real-life siblings Charlie and Daisy May have won several BAFTAs for the comedy. (

However, the series will be comedy, fuelled by dark humour and serving heaps of attitude as Cash Carraway promises to undermine stereotypes about working-class women.

Daisy herself teased the drama. Posting a short, NSFW video on Instagram of a penis doodle dancing, she wrote: "Exciting news coming soon b*****ds...."

We can't wait!
