The new trailer for creepy horror film The Invisible Man starring Elisabeth Moss has dropped and we're going to be frank: it's terrifying us already.

The new film, which is released in cinemas on the 28th February, tells the story of Cecilia Kass (The Handmaid Tale's Elisabeth Moss) who escapes from her abusive boyfriend, Adrian, with the help of her sister, friend and his teenage daughter.

When Cecilia learns that her ex has died, leaving her a generous portion of his fortune, she begins to suspect that all is not as it seems.

After a series of frightening encounters for Cecilia and her friends and family, she starts to think that Adrian has faked his own death and sets out to try and prove that she is being stalked by an invisible man.

"He was a sociopath," the trailer begins. "He said that I could never leave him."

"He controlled how I looked and what I wore, then it was controlling when I left the house and eventually what I thought."

As Cecilia's friends and family try to convince her that Adrian is dead, she retorts: "He's not dead. He has figured out a way to be invisible."

"He said that wherever I went, he would find me, walk right up to me and I wouldn't be able to see him."

The modern tale of obsession is a retelling of the H.G. Wells novel and 1933 film adaptation of the same name.

Last November we saw the first trailer released for this incredible film, where Cecilia and her loved ones start to question her sanity as Adrian continues to haunt her.

The terrifying film also stars Harriet Dyer as Cecilia's sister, Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Adrian, Aldis Hodge as childhood friend James and Storm Reid as his daughter Sydney.
