It's time to switch your social media accounts to private and invest in a decent pair of blinds, because the trailer for You season two just dropped.

From the trailer, it seems like Joe has relocated from New York to Los Angeles, and is seen taking in his new surroundings with a whole bunch of new women to stalk.

It looks like Boxing Day is going to be one happy (with a big side of creepy) occasion, as the trailer is just as good as we expected.

But first, let's recap on what happened in season one.

Based on Caroline Kepnes novel of the same name, the story followed psychopath bookseller Joe (played by Gossip Girl's Penn Badgley) as he became obsessed with Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) and sets out to make her his girlfriend, killing off her other love interest Benji and friend Peach along the way.

In the season finale, Beck was on the verge of uncovering Joe's secret, discovering a number of mementos including the phone she believed she had lost on the railway line. Joe then imprisoned her in the basement of his bookstore. What a charmer.

In a flash forward, Beck's death is discussed by various characters, and her therapist Dr Nicky is arrested for Beth's murder when a manuscript thought to be written by Beck points to his involvement.

The trailer for season two shows Penn Badgley returning - with a set of shiny new cast members.

Joe has attempted to escape his past by heading to LA, where he meets new love interest, aspiring chef Love Quinn, played by Haunting of Hill House's Victoria Pedretti.

Love Quinn is grieving and sees Joe as a kindred spirit. The pair begin to bond over a mutual sense of loss (shudder) and Joe is soon up to his old tricks, tailing her around town and standing ominously behind her while she does her shopping.

As to the other characters, there's Melanie Field as Sunrise, a stay-at-home mom blogger raising a toddler with her partner Lucy, and Magda Apanowicz as Sandy, a woman from Joe's past. Not forgetting Joe's ex-girlfriend Candace, who was believed dead until she showed up at the end of the first series.

Following Joe's killing spree in season one, and with Peach Salinger's family investigating her alleged suicide, we can't wait to see how and when this lovesick stalker's actions catch up with him in S2.

Bring on a second serving of chilling intensity.

You season 2 hits Netflix on Boxing Day.
