Love Island Star Dani Dyer To Join Dad Danny Dyer In EastEnders

Love Island star Dani Dyer is to join her dad Danny in BBC soap EastEnders.

The reality TV star is to appear in an upcoming episode of the long-running soap in a cameo role.

Dani will play a cab driver who will pick up Danny's character Mick Carter and will (sadly) only be making a brief guest appearance on the show.

In the show, Mick has recently learned he was the father of new character Frankie Lewis, while his other daughter, Nancy, has just returned to the square, so it was highly unlikely that Dani would make an appearance as a third Carter sibling.

But we're excited to see her make a cameo appearance all the same.

Dani recently welcomed son Santiago with partner Sammy Kimmence, giving birth to the tot - who they call Santi - in January.

At the time, Danny wrote a heartfelt message of congratulations to his daughter on social media.

"So my baby had a baby. F**k me we needed some joy this year," he wrote on Instagram. "So proud of you @danidyer cannot wait to meet the little beaut."

Dani recently spoke up about how she fears she had postnatal depression after the birth of Santi.

The new mum opened up on the Sorted with the Dyers podcast she hosts with dad Danny, about the realities of motherhood, saying she began to worry after "not feeling herself" for a couple of days.

She said, at the time: "The other day I was really struggling, I had a couple of days where I made a shepherd's pie but I just felt so down.

"And I think when you've just had a baby you really start worrying, thinking, 'Am I suffering with a bit of postnatal depression?'

"I know this sounds weird but I made a shepherd's pie but it was like I wasn't making it.

"I had a couple of days of just really not feeling me and then I went on a walk and I felt back to myself. I felt so low."

Meanwhile Dani's boyfriend Sammy could now face time in jail after pleading guilty to scamming two pensioners out of almost £34,000.

He first appeared in court in February last year, under allegations that he had scammed two elderly men by posing as a financial investor.

It was alleged that Sammy falsely claimed to both victims - Peter Martin, 90 and Peter Haynes, 80 - that he was authorised to provide financial services.

Last month, he pleaded guilty to five counts of fraud, totalling £33,919.
