Kady McDermott 'returning to Love Island' after seven years
Though unconfirmed by ITV execs, it seems they are hoping that Kady will turn up the heat after her original Love Island appearance
After a seven-year hiatus, Kady McDermott is set to make a dramatic return to Love Island, TV sources have said.
Like Adam Collard and Jessie Wynter, the former contestant is hoping to find her happy-ever-after at the iconic villa.
Though unconfirmed by ITV execs, it seems they are hoping that the 27-year-old will turn up the heat after being caught in a love triangle in her original series.

The make-up artist first appeared on the small screen back in 2016, on the third day of Love Island’s second season.
Soon after, she was coupled up with Scott Thomas – who Kady remained with until the finale and came third overall.
However, the couple had their fair share of ups and downs with fellow constant Zara Holland also vying for the club promoter’s affection.
Despite the intense love triangle, Kady and Scott ended up staying together for over a year and even moved to Manchester to be close to his brothers, Corrie star Ryan Thomas and Emmerdale regular, Adam.
After the pair split in 2017, Kady went on to have brief romances with Aston Villa footballer Matty Cash and Towie’s Myles Barnett.
As she reportedly prepares to re-enter the villa this week, the MUA now hopes to finally find the man of her dreams.
In fact, a source even told the Daily Mail that she hopes she can find something similar to Olivia and Alex Bowen – who met on the same season as Kady.
The source said: “Kady was a fantastic Islander in 2016. She made brilliant television and bosses are hoping she can recreate the same magic in the villa this summer.
“She's also still looking for love so for Kady the hope is that she can finally find the man of her dreams.”
The insider continued: “Olivia and Alex and Nathan and Cara from her series are happy, in love, and even have families of their own. Kady, especially now she's older and wiser when it comes to dating, is longing for the same fairytale ending.”
Meanwhile, Islander Mitchel Taylor has come under fire for allegedly dating three women at the same time.
His alleged infidelity went viral after his former partners made a TikTok video, hitting out at the gas engineer.
As the temperature turns up in the Spanish sun, it’s unclear whether the 26-year-old will survive the recoupling or possibly find new love with Kady.
