Channel 4 has announced two festive Bake Off specials - and this is the kind of 2020 news we need.

The first, titled The Great Christmas Bake Off, will celebrate Christmas in the infamous tent, with four bakers from past series'.

The bakers - who have not yet been announced - will whip up a selection of festive bakes, competing to be crowned Christmas Star Baker.

In a musical twist, they'll then round off the festive evening with a magical performance of Silent Night - what a treat!

And the festivities don't stop there. There'll also be a second - named The Great Festive Bake Off - which will see the hosts and judges reunited after Christmas.

Seeing in the New Year, there'll be another four bakers from series' gone by and they'll all be competing to impress Paul and Prue and take home the Festive Star Baker title.

You never know, as it's Christmas, Paul might be feeling extra generous with his Hollywood handshake? We'll have to wait and see...

Both shows will last for an hour and 15 minutes with dates yet to be confirmed. Thanks Channel 4, we can't wait for these!

While we wait for these Christmas specials to be served up, we still have the annual helping of Bake Off to enjoy.

The most recent edition of the programme saw the bakers take on Pastry Week, with the hopefuls being tasked to make Cornish pasties, whip up eclairs and create a caged tart showstopper.

While Laura impressed with her Kent Garden Tart showstopper, it was the end of the road for poor Linda, who was eliminated from the tent after her three bakes failed to hit the spot.

It looks sense to be a tense round next week, with our bakers now being asked to bake exotic dishes for the show's first ever Japanese week.

Bake Off continues on Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4.
