Dead to Me Season 2 is in the middle of filming and we cannot wait for the dark yet comedic Netflix show to make its comeback, especially now we've been told there will be "more secrets and more twists and turns". Yessss.

The hidden secrets and the way we were teased little bits of information in the first TV series that led up to a dramatic twist, kept us gripped throughout and now that Linda Cardellini, who plays Judy Hale has promised us more of it, we're already hooked.

The second instalment is well underway and although there has been no confirmed return date, we're expecting it to drop in late spring in 2020 - a year after the announcement of its renewal, just like the first series.

Linda told the Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview: "There are definitely going to be more secrets and more twists and turns, so we can count on that - I knew there was a twist in the first episode when I read the first season, but I didn't realise how each episode would be, that the show would turn and twist as the season went on. So I'm really excited about that."

Series creator Liz Feldman also confirmed a while ago the series would still be dark.

Christina Applegate will also return to season 2 as Jen (
Netflix)

She told Hollywood Reporter: "This show will always be a show that explores the dark sides and the light sides of grief, loss, forgiveness and friendship.

"So suffice to say, there will be more darkness."

Not that we're surprised by the news. The whole of the first series was about key characters Judy and Jen Harding (Christina Applegate) having secrets from each other and they've got a lot more on their plate now that Steve Wood (James Marsden), Judy's ex-fiance is floating dead in Jen's pool. What an end to the first season!

Creator Liz Feldman is hoping to bring the ladies back together in season 2 (
Netflix)

We can't wait to see the ladies return, where we'll no doubt enjoy more of highly strung widow Jen's dry humour and Judy's supposedly free-spirited nature, despite the skeletons in her closet.

It was so easy to binge too, with just ten 30 minute episodes, so we are hoping for the same format in the second series.
