If your wedding was cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we have some exciting news for you.

Channel 4 is looking to hear from couples whose big day had to be rescheduled as a result of COVID-19, for a brand new show that will see the pair tie the knot on telly.

Wedding in Lockdown will see the chosen couple get married at home where it will be streamed to family, friends and other wedding guests - as well as the nation.

*And* there will also be some celebrity guests attending, although names have not been confirmed just yet.

The news was announced on social media by casting agents, looking to hear from couples affected by coronavirus.

The post read: "We're looking for a fun loving couple for a new TV show for Channel 4. Have you had to cancel your wedding due to Covid-19?

"Are you unsure what to do? Please tag anyone you think would suit and feel free to share."

It continued: "Channel 4, with the help of a celebrity cupid, and some special guests are looking to bring a much needed wedding back to life and offer one special couple the opportunity to have a virtual ceremony they'll never forget.

"In their own home, with family and friends watching and celebrating online."

And social media users have already been quick to tag their pals whose special day has been called off.

Many brides and grooms commented to say their upcoming wedding had been cancelled and although it was rescheduled for later in the year, they still felt anxious it wouldn't go ahead.

Meanwhile, others were supposed to be jetting off abroad for a beach wedding, but have had to postpone until next year due to travel restrictions.

It's unknown when the new programme will air, but according to the post on Facebook it will be "soon...ish". Obviously we'll be updating you with those all-important details as soon as possible...

It's also worth noting that although the show will include a ceremony of sorts, it will not result in a legally binding marriage.

"Due to the legalities of specific marital licensing in the home, a non religious celebrant will enact the vows on the documentary," the show explained.

If you know a couple who have had their big day plans rescheduled, get tagging!
