The First Trailer Has Just Dropped For 'Celebrity X Factor'

The Celebrity X-Factor trailer has just dropped and we reckon it is set to be TV gold.

The Celebrity X Factor's trailer has just landed and we hate to admit it, but we're a little bit excited.

"It's time for something different," says Simon Cowell.

"And they're competing for a record contract," adds Nicole Scherzinger in the promo for the show.

The X Factor has been shaken up for its new season, with already famous people going head to head for a new record deal.

The re-vamped show is set to land on our screens on Saturday 12th October, with 14 celebrity acts competing to change their career path or land themselves a new deal.

Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger will return to their seats as judges and of course Dermot O'Leary will resume as host. X-Factor wouldn't be X-Factor without him.

This new take on the TV show will see the likes of reality star turned singer Megan McKenna star, as well as Eyal Booker from Love Island who will join Samira Mighty, Wes Nelson and Zara McDermott as a band.

Alongside them will be 1990s talk show star Ricki Lake, The Chase's Jenny Ryan aka The Vixen and Glee star Kevin McHale. Even former footballer Vinnie Jones has been rumoured to be taking part, although he is not shown in the trailer.

It is quite the eclectic mix.

With all these big personalities up on stage, we expect nothing less than TV gold.

We're hoping for some laughs along the way too. At one point in the trailer, Louis Walsh asks legendary journalist Martin Bashir "Why are you here?"

To which he responds "I'm beginning to ask myself the same question..."

Simon Cowell is just hoping that his new idea actually works. He said: "My credibility's at stake. If it doesn't work I look like a total idiot!"

We hope so too, Simon.

This new show idea comes after the announcement of X-Factor All Stars, where old X Factor rejects take each other on.

Simon Cowell told The Sun: "The time feels right, and it will be a huge change.

'We haven't exactly confirmed the dates or the order of the shows, but essentially there are going to be two versions of X Factor running this year. I think it's going to be huge, it's the best I've felt about this show in ages.'

Celebrity X factor will land on 12th October.
