The X Factor will finally return to our screens Saturday, 12th October, but not as you know it.

A celebrity incarnation of the ITV talent show will kick off, with 15 famous faces taking to the stage in a bid to wow judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger while Dermot O'Leary resumes hosting duties.

This brand-new take on the music talent show will feature some of the biggest names from the world of music, film, sport, television and social media - and frankly, it's a pretty bizarre mix.

The hopefuls will be leaving their comfort zones at the door as they battle it out in LA to make it through the first stage, and all the way to the live shows in London, to bag a life-changing record deal.

Celebrity contestants hoping to be crowned The X Factor: Celebrity 2019 Champion include 1990s talk show star Ricki Lake, The Chase's Jenny Ryan aka The Vixen, Glee star Kevin McHale and The Only Way Is Essex's Megan McKenna.

Weirder still, Love Island 2019 alumni Samira Mighty, Eyal Booker, Wes Nelson and Zara McDermott have joined forces to become a group for the new series.

Following on from Britain's Got Talent: The Champions, the celebrity installment is replacing the traditional X Factor series, which has been on air since 2004.

This isn't X Factor first attempt at a celebrity version of the talent show after The X Factor: Battle of the Stars aired in 2006 and featured Radio DJ Chris Moyles, Rebecca Loos and health expert Gillian McKeith.

Here's the full celebrity line-up, which is split into three categories - the overs, the unders, and the groups, below:
