There was a shock recoupling in the Love Island villa tonight, and it saw Priya having to choose between super keen Matthew, and new boy Brett.
After a (boring) date with Brett where they discussed university and looking lustfully into each other's eyes, Matthew tried to keep sticking it on Priya as he clearly became quite intimidated and realised that actually, despite the peck they'd had earlier on (which Priya wasn't super keen on), Brett could be a threat.
And it turns out, he was.

In the recoupling, the girls got to choose who they wanted to couple up with, and after Faye, Millie, Liberty, Kaz, and Mary all gave their heartfelt speeches to the boys of their choice (Teddy, Liam, Jake, Tyler, Aaron), it was Priya's turn to choose between Brett and Matthew.
As the suspenseful music came in, we watched as Priya gave a speech all about how she could easily talk to this boy, and how she loved looking into his eyes... only to choose new boy Brett, leaving Matthew single, and therefore dumped from the Love Island villa.
There were tears as Matthew stood awkwardly, but they mainly came from Priya - and Love Island viewers can't quite work out why.
One viewer said: "She's only known them like 2 days why she crying for".
Another said: "lol priya it's not that deep babe".
Someone else added: "What is Priya actually crying about?! Like seriously".
I mean, we get it - it must have been an uncomfortable decision for her to have had to make, especially as it meant it was up to her who got dumped from the island.

But at least now she can have some 'intellectual' conversation with her new beau, and they can both talk about going to university and being intelligent and ambitious and all that jazz.
