The cast for the new Tiger King series has been announced - and it sounds like it's going to be a gripping watch!
The upcoming series, provisionally titled Joe Exotic, will star Dennis Quaid as Rick Kirkham - the producer on Joe's reality show who featured in the Netflix doc, Tiger King.
Kate McKinnon has been announced to play Carole Baskin, meanwhile John Cameron Mitchell is set to star as the tiger king himself, Joe Exotic.

It has also previously been announced that former zookeeper John Reinke will be played by Brian Van Holt, Sam Keeley will play Joe's ex husband John Finlay and Natt Wolff will star as Travis Maldonado - Joe's other ex husband who sadly passed away.
The series is along similar lines to Tiger King and follows big cat rescue Carole, who discovers Joe is breeding big cats. Much like in the doc, a fierce rivalry forms between the two.
The series is adapted from the Wondery Podcast, Joe Exotic, and sees the tiger king stop at nothing to put an end to the feud.
The show is expected to air exclusively on Peacock, although a release date is yet to be announced.

In other Tiger King news, last month we told you how Jeff Lowe has had all remaining big cats removed from his park.
The US Justice Department seized 68 big cats from the park, which included a mixture of lions, tigers, ligers and a jaguar. The move came about after concerns were raised about how Jeffrey and his wife, Lauren, were treating the big cats.
A civil complaint filed against the couple in November last year accused the couple of inhumane treatment and improper care.

"This seizure should send a clear message that the Justice Department takes alleged harm to captive-bred animals protected under the Endangered Species Act very seriously," said acting assistant attorney general, Jean Williams, of the DOJ's environment and natural resources division.
