Despite being completely hooked to Netflix's Bridgerton, we were shook when we learnt the true identity of Lady Whistledown.
But now, Nicola Coughlan (who played Penelope Featherington - aka Lady Whistledown) in the series, has explained there was actually a major clue in the very first scene of Bridgerton, which we all missed.
Writing on Twitter, Nicola asked fans: "Ok I'm just curious, has anyone spotted the massive Easter Egg about Penelope in the very first scene of Bridgerton?"

And fans made all kinds of guesses, but one follower nailed it, replying: "A quill?"
Reposting the tweet, Nicola confirmed: "When I filmed Penelope's first scene I chose a prop, a massive massive feather that looked a lot like [a quill]."
See for yourself!
We never spotted it, but we're so glad Nicola decided to include this little clue.

In other exciting Bridgerton news, last month Netflix announced there would be a Season 2 of the saucy Regency drama.
And Sex Education star Simone Ashley, 25, has officially been cast as new lead Kate - the love interest of the second season's starring character, Anthony Bridgerton.
Anthony already appeared in the first instalment of the scandalous series, and is played by Jonathan Bailey, 32.
Simone will be making her debut on the show, which will be based on Julia Quinn's second book, The Viscount Who Loved Me.
Set a year after the events of the first book, titled The Duke and I, Anthony has decided it's time for him to settle down. However, things don't quite go to plan when he sets his sights on Edwina Sheffield.

Edwina has an older half sister, Kate, who after hearing about Anthony's reputation, is desperate to put a stop to the match.
But after months of bickering, Anthony and Kate find themselves increasingly drawn to one another. Despite fighting their desire, in the end they simply can't resist one another.
This cannot come soon enough!
