Netflix made sure we had a long, hot summer this year after it released sex-fuelled thriller 365 Dni.

The erotic film, which is ladened with streamy scenes, focused on a young Polish girl as she is kidnapped by a Sicilian gangster - who gives her a year to fall in love with him.

And now, one of 365 DNI's co-directors has a brand new project to set our pulses racing, with Barbara Bialowas set to adapt a new series of salacious novels.

Here's everything you need to know...

What is 365 Dni director Barbara Bialowas's new project?

The Polish director has signed up to lead the adaptation of Vanessa Fewing's hugely popular The Enthrall Sessions series, and will be directing the very first book in the series, simply titled Enthall.

What are The Enthrall Sessions about?

Vanessa's USA Today best-selling series bares similarity to 365 Dni, in that they both focus on young women and their sexual entanglements with rich, powerful men.

The first book in the series, Enthrall, follows 21-year-old Mia, who finds herself bored by her job in a West Hollywood art store before being offered a role as secretary to brooding billionaire Richard Booth. So far, so Fifty Shades.

But things take a turn for Mia when her new job sees her tied to the business of Enthrall, a BDSM club for the Los Angeles' wealthiest residents.

A synopsis reads: "Mia is both drawn and terrified when Richard reveals flashes of his white-hot passion, threatening an unbound pleasure like no other. She knows her attraction may be her undoing, but the spellbinding feelings render her powerless to resist his advances."

As their romance sees Mia experiment in BDSM, things become further complicated when Enthrall's director and psychiatrist Cameron Cole, who originally lured Mia to the secretary role, starts to fall for Mia's innocent charms.

"Passion and pleasure stir, forming a dangerous love triangle," a snippet says. "This is the world of the forbidden. This is the embrace of Enthrall."

With eight books in the series, and a focus on BDSM sexual encounters (themes including role-play, dominance, submission and restraint), we can expect as much racy action as we saw in 365 DNI.

Has Vanessa Fewing's written anything else?

Vanessa is no stranger to erotic fiction, having written a number of lip-bitingly tempting books. Her more popular series include The Pervade Duet, which looks at Emily's combined love of sex and music, The Icon Trilogy which looks at sex and investigation in the art world, and the Stone Master's Vampire Series, which looks at sex and the super-natural.

She has also written numerous stand-alone titles, the full list of which can be found here.

What has Barbara Bialowas said about The Enthrall Sessions?

Needless to say, Barbara is a fan of Vanessa's writing, describing the first book in the eight-part series as "fascinating and powerful".

And admiration appears to be a two-way street between the pair, with Vanessa explaining: "I couldn't be more thrilled to have Barbara Bialowas as the director for Enthrall.

"She's shared with me her vision for the film, and I know fans of the series will be blown away."

Is there going to be a 365 Dni sequel?

As of now, Barbara is still connected to the 365 Dni franchise, and is also filming another project in her native Poland.

365 Dni 2 was meant to start filming on location in Sicily earlier this year, but production was halted due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

A release date is still unconfirmed, but it's likely the sequel will hit screens in 2022.
