Woman Claims Visitors Without Children Should Be Banned From Disney World

Woman Claims Visitors Without Children Should Be Banned From Disney World

The internet went into overdrive this week when a bizarre Facebook post resurfaced online showing a mother's expletive-filled rant about 'childless' millennials at Disney World.

The anonymous mum, seemingly upset after having to deal with a cranky three-year-old at the Florida amusement park, began by saying: "It p*sses me off TO NO END!!!!! When I see CHILDLESS COUPLES WITHOUT [children] AT DISNEY WORLD!!!! DW is a FAMILY amusement park!!!! Yet these IMMATURE millennials THROW AWAY THEIR MONEY ON USELESS CRAP!!!!"

The rant included 27 angry-face emojis in total which is pretty impressive TBH and you can read the whole thing here:

Not quite done, she continued by complaining that she had chased her toddler around the park all day and had to deal with his temper tantrums, while accusing a young woman in "some very sl**ty shorts" of making her son cry because she was standing in line to buy a pretzel.

She ended the post by saying "I f**cking hate childless women with a BURNING PASSION!!!"

Charming.

The post, which has been retweeted more than 17.6k times and has raked up 72.3k likes, has sparked a heated debate across Twitter as well as in the press, and people just can't seem to agree.

Publishing a piece in which he agrees with the crazy lady, Johnny Oleksinki from the New York Post stated in his piece (entitled "Sorry, childless millennials going to Disney World is weird") that she is "right on this point.

Millennials are indeed in an unhealthy relationship with Disney, having granted control of so much of their leisure time and personality to a single, enormous corporate entity meant for children."

Also on the mother's side is Arwa Mahdawi from The Guardian, who wrote: "My thoughts on the matter are that something is very wrong with you if you are childfree and want to spend a small fortune surrounded by other people's kids in a mouse-infested amusement park. Why not just throw away your money on e-cigarettes and sl**ty shorts like the feckles childfree millennial you are?"

Twitter, however, seems to have a different view, as one thoughtful Twitter user pointed out that "WALT'S WHOLE GOAL WAS TO MAKE THINGS THAT EVERYONE COULD ENYOY. Maybe stop shaming people for enjoying a freaking theme park."

Another fought back, Tweeting that: "It's no one's business what other people find fun. As long as you aren't hurting anyone I say power to you. It's not up to me to decide what should or shouldn't make you happy," said another user.

Hear hear!

"As a single person with no kids who goes to Disneyworld all the time, this is making me feel extremely powerful" said another.

Walt Disney once asked the question: "Why do we have to grow up? I know more adults who have the children's approach to life. They're people who don't give a hang what the Joneses do. You see them at Disneyland every time you go there. They are not afraid to be delighted with simple pleasures, and they have a degree of contentment with that life has brought - sometimes it isn't much either."

We know whose side he'd be on.
