If you grew up in the Noughties, one thing is for sure, your radio will have been blaring The Pussycat Dolls on repeat.

So you'll no doubt be as excited as us to hear that Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Melody Thornton and Carmit Bachar are finally ending their ten year hiatus for a surprise performance on the X Factor: Celebrity final this weekend.

Confirming the news on ITV's Lorraine on Monday, Nicole's fellow judge Louis Walsh said: "The Pussycat Dolls are the guest [for the finale]. There's an exclusive for you!"

He then added: "They're back together, yeah."

The group's appearance on the popular ITV singing competition will mark The Pussycat Dolls' first time performing together since they went on a break in 2009.

Currently, there isn't any information about what song the group will be singing.

However, we already had an inkling that the girl group were working on new material, so the fact they're now performing together again is an exciting sign a full on comeback could soon be on the cards.

A source broke the news to Entertainment Tonight in September, reporting that Nicole was "very excited" for the group to get back together.

While Ashely Roberts also confirmed the girls had been "chatting" about a comeback.

Nicole is no doubt going to be very busy, seeing as she recently revealed she is also working on her own solo music, too.

The singer told Variety: "I'm still evolving as an artist and as a writer and as a performer, so I can't wait to release new stuff next year."

The Pussycat Dolls are best known for their 2005 hit tracks including Don't Cha, I Don't Need a Man, Beep and Buttons.

Their second 2008 album included bangers like When I Grow Up, Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny) and Hush Hush.

They split in 2009 as Nicole's solo career took off, but said at the time the break up was unlikely to be for good.
