Stacey Solomon Hits Back At Troll For Commenting On How She Dresses Son For Snow Play

Stacey Solomon has shut down critics who lambasted the star for not ensuring her toddler was wearing gloves at all times.

The 31-year-old posted a series of joyful videos on her Instagram Stories of her three children - Zachary, 12, Leighton, eight, and one-year-old Rex - as they played in the snow together.

While many of Stacey's 4.1 million Instagram followers adored the scenes of her kids having fun in the wintry weather, others criticised the Loose Women panellist for not ensuring Rex was wearing gloves at all times.

Not one to take trolling lying down, Stacey chose to respond to her critics by posting a note addressed "to the glove police" which she also posted on her Instagram Story.

"If I could get Rex to keep his gloves, hat and coat on I would. Believe me. But he is a toddler," she wrote.

"Anyone out there with one knows that they start off wearing it all and as the walk goes on they rip their hat off a thousand times, drop their gloves in the snow, and tread on them until they're soaking wet and no longer any use and they moan the whole time to take their coat off. And then after all of that they cry when their hands get cold."

She continued: "Anyone out there keeping all items of clothing of winter wear on their toddlers all day is my hero. I salute you."

Stacey regularly posts her family life on her Instagram page, with the former X Factor contestant recently deciding to create a makeshift beach in the bathroom for her little ones in a thinly-veiled swipe at Dubai influencers who travelled for 'essential work' during the pandemic.

Posting of her three boys in the sand, she captioned the snap: "When your sandpit sand order isn't what you expected and you don't have any essential work in Dubai. Tonight I caved. I feel like this might be the only beach they visit for quite a while so I thought why not ey... I'll also be using this as bribery until the end of time.

"The next time they say they don't want to get out of bed, brush their teeth, eat their dinner, log on to teams I'm going to remind them of the time I said 'ok then fine, let's build a beach in the bathroom.'"
