The origin of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's children's names has been staring us in the face for years, and yet somehow we're only just realising it.
Twenty-three-year-old Jaden Christopher Syre Smith and 21-year-old Willow Camille Reign Smith certainly have memorable names. So why these ones in particular?
With the Smith family having been thrust into the spotlight this week, the penny finally dropped for a number of fans who took to social media to announce their discovery.
One twitter user posted: "No I just clocked why Will & Jayda's kids are called Jayden & Willow & now it's time for my bed."

Another user replied with: "Please I’ve just realised after your tweet omg. I thought they were just random names."
If you haven't realised yet then let us explain...
Both are named after their parents - but it's gender-swapped, making it a little less obvious.
We have no idea how we missed it either!
When you think about it, Jaden sounds an awful lot like Jada, while Willow is an obviously feminine version of Will.

While you might think Will is just a shorter version of William, in this case you'd be wrong.
The Fresh Prince's name is actually Willard Carroll Smith II.
And it's not just Willow and Jaden who are named for their parents, Will's eldest son from his marriage to Sheree Zampino is named after him too.
Known professionally as Trey Smith, the D.J.'s full name is Willard Carroll "Trey" Smith III.
Will and Jada are certainly not the only celebrity parents to name their children after themselves. David Arquette and Courtney Cox's daughter Coco is named after her mother, and Ciara and Future named their son Future.

Though it may be slightly abnormal to name all your children after their parents, the Smiths have gotten off lightly in the world of bizarre celebrity baby names.
None of them are named X Æ A-Xii at least.
