Stacey Solomon has taken to Instagram to update her followers, after receiving lots of messages about her maternity leave.

Speaking to followers on her Instagram Stories, Stacey, 32, explained she would only be taking a short maternity leave, and returning to work next week.

You can watch the clip below:

Explaining she'd seen a lot of messages asking why her maternity leave was only three months, Stacey explained: "I know it's know it's not long enough, I could be in this bubble forever and ever.

"But I've got one of those weird jobs where you never know if you're going to get work or not and nothing is guaranteed so you've got to make the most of every opportunity when it comes along.

Stacey went on to explain that everyone she works with has been mega supportive of her breastfeeding, adding: "They've also been so supportive of my breastfeeding, all the companies I work for have said they'll support me because I don't want to give it up, I feel like I've worked really hard to get to this point.

"So although I'm going back, I'm extremely lucky."

"And also a lot of my contracts are 12 month contracts that I squee squeezed into nine months so I could have three months off and I don't think I could could squeeze them into any less, so I start back up next week, my first job back is an Inthestyle shoot which I'm really excited about and I can't wait to take you all with me on.

"Ultimately, I'm just so lucky and privileged really that I've got a job to go back for nevermind a job I absolutely love."

In December, she said: “Get your hat out, Ruth. Yes, we would love… if all goes well.. because Covid’s still massive and you never know what’s around the corner, but we would love to get married in July next year, we really would. It will be so nice to have the boys and Rose there.”
