Simon Cowell claims he's 'ageing quite well' in resurfaced video

Simon Cowell reckons he's 'ageing quite well' in a brilliant resurfaced video where he jokingly tears into Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson.

Cowell, who was aged 48 at the time, told the car enthusiast that he is the equivalent of an old 'Jaguar that needs help'. Watch below:

In a 2007 episode of Top Gear, the former X-Factor judge was featured clean-shaved, dressed in his trademark attire of a simple black t-shirt and jeans.

The conversation started to get exciting when Clarkson asked if he could be hired as a judge on Cowell's famous show.

And he replied in the most Simon Cowell way possible, saying: "Shall I tell you why you couldn't? Because I am ageing quite well and you're not."

The ruthless observation didn't stop there as Cowell went on to compare Clarkson to an old Jaguar.

"I thought about you the other day, I was reading one of your reviews about a Jaguar and how Jaguars have to update themselves over the years and you are the equivalent of a Jaguar who needs help," he added.

"In other words, you know how you do a facelift on the new Jag?"

To which Clarkson responded: "Oh I can't do a facelift!"

Cowell just couldn't help himself and replied: "No, you do! You need Botox, you need a facelift. Just have half an eye done."

Seemingly left speechless, Clarkson tried to play off the slight awkwardness by carrying on the conversation.

"I look in the mirror and go, 'Yeah, I know I'm falling to pieces but I don't care,'" the Top Gear host argued.

Simon then hit back: "No, I don't think that. I think I look good."

Clarkson agreed: "You do look good," before Cowell continued: "No, I know I do and we're the same age!"

Ouch.

The car fan wouldn't budge on his unbothered stance, saying: "I don't care."

Cowell, with a dead serious expression, joked: "You must do."

The host then asks the audience: "Should I care? Should I care about it?"

After the audience agrees with Clarkson, Cowell concluded: "That's why you couldn't come on my show."

Well it's hard to believe that the famous music mogul is now aged 63 and looks unrecognisable from his 2007 appearance on the show.

In that timeframe, Cowell has helped launched the careers of One Direction, Olly Murs, Little Mix and Fleur East, to name a few.
