Simon Cowell hits back at claims he's had facelift after Ant & Dec joke

The Britain's Got Talent judge has denied he's had a facelift, after fans also began to speculate about Cowell's changing face online.

We all might consider a nip and tuck as we age, but Simon Cowell has denied ever going under the knife.

He's hit back at plastic surgery claims after Ant & Dec made a joke about the Britain's Got Talent judge looking different while promoting the new series.

This comes as the judge promote the latest series of BGT, which will feature a new judging line-up this year.

Having been a judge on Strictly Come Dancing for over 15 years, Bruno Tonioli is hopping over to ITV as he joins the hit variety show.

The 67-year-old will be judging the nation alongside his former Strictly co-star Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden for the fifteenth series - which begins tonight (April 15).

Ironically though, he’d never seen the long-running show - despite it being arguably Britain’s biggest reality series.

Head judge Simon Cowell made the shocking reveal as he spoke about Tonioli’s appointment following disgraced judge David Walliams’ exit from BGT.

He told The Mirror that Tonioli was a ‘natural fit’ and added: “It was quite remarkable. Even though he'd never seen the show before, it was just brilliant. It was seamless and as I said before, he's brought some chaos to the show.”

Continuing, Cowell said: "But I'm kind of watching the show through his eyes again because he has never seen it and he's so excited. It really is great."

While most eyes are on Tonioli, Ant and Dec couldn't help but crack a joke about rumours Cowell has had work done during a teaser for the upcoming premiere tonight (April 15).

Poking fun at the panel, Dec said mentioned that there was a ‘new face’ among the judges with Ant joking: “What? Simon has a new face?"

While the Geordie duo are able to get away with teasing the host, Cowell has hit back at claims he’s had plastic surgery – calling it ‘hysterical’.

He even stated that he laughed at the online comments, saying: "I mean, it just makes me laugh. I haven't had a facelift or anything.”

Despite this, he did admit to having the odd bit of filler as he aged, telling The Mirror: “I've had a bit of Botox or whatever, but nothing drastic.

"So when I hear about this stuff, honestly it does make me laugh."

Well, we like your honesty Simon – let's hope you are this honest with the new contestants.
