Rihanna has been forced to defend her maternity style after her sparking controversy with her ‘indecent’ Paris Fashion Week outfit.

Back in March, the singer-turned-fashion-icon rocked the boat when she strutted her stuff at the Dior show in a sheer lace, mesh dress by the fashion house, which was paired with a very visible Savage X Fenty G-string from her own line, of course.

To Rihanna, “that dress is actually the closest thing to maternity clothes that I’ve worn so far,” she told Vogue in a cover story.

At the time, many fans praised the star for baring all, and looking incredible while she did it. However, her fashion-come-political statement look at the fashion show did come with some backlash, with some onlookers stating her sheer dress was an ‘indecent’ affair.

Now, Rihanna has backed her fashion choices at the event, telling the magazine: “When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, 'There’s no way I’m going to go shopping in no maternity aisle.'

“I’m sorry—it’s too much fun to get dressed up. I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing,” she said.

He also told the magazine: “Rihanna is just so fearless, so for me, it’s always a question of ‘How do we make this look make sense for who she is?’”

Whilst Rihanna has not announced when her and A$AP Rocky’s baby is due, many fans have speculated that her due date could be in May.

Her boyfriend previously bought the mum-to-be a charm bracelet with an emerald charm, which is also the birthstone for May, which fans believe could hint towards their baby’s due date being next month.

Although, Rihanna has not yet confirmed whether this is true, or not.
