Are doppelgänger children a thing or is it just genetics?
Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe both attended their 19-year-old son Deacon Phillippe's album release party for his project, 'A New Earth'.
The former couple who got married back in 1999, finalised their divorce in 2008.

The father took to Insta to congratulate his son on the new release, writing: "Awesome night w family & friends celebrating the release of, “A New Earth” by @deaconphillippe!!"
"Stream, download, and listen to the album.😊#AOTY," he added.
But rightly or wrongly, all that anyone could talk about was how similar the son and daughter, Ava Phillippe, 23, looked to their parents.

"I can't believe how much Reese's children looks actually like her and Ryan," one user commented.
A second person also wrote: "Mini Reese and mini Ryan. Adorable."
Another added: "Its so Amazing. He looks like his mom. But he looks like his dad but he looks like his mom and his dad. He's so split down the middle. An absolute perfect blend of his parents lol."
Someone else went one step further: "So crazy how he has his mother’s eyebrows but his father’s eyes."

Despite no longer being together, it seems that the parents are pleased with the way their kids are growing up.
Taking to social media to celebrate his son's 18th Birthday, Phillippe said: "Happy 18th birthday to our gorgeous, smart, talented, and caring son. You are a true light in this world and are so loved by all who know you. We are lucky to be your mom and dad. Love you, pup..(I’d say we did pretty good @reesewitherspoon)."

Earlier this month, Witherspoon has officially filed for divorce from Jim Toth, just a week after announcing they would be parting ways.
The estranged couple, who share a 10-year-old son called Tennessee, have been married for 12 years, after tying the knot in March 2011.
"We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together," she wrote.
"Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter."

She went on to say these situations are 'never easy', before asking people to respect their privacy as a family.
Reese and Jim first met at a party in January 2010, shortly after the Morning Show actor split from then-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.
