Molly-Mae Hague’s fans have jumped to her defence after she wore a white dress to a wedding.

The former Love Island star divided opinions after sharing snaps in a stunning - but noticeably bridal-style - gown.

The 24-year-old attended the wedding of her close friend and manager Francesca Britton in Barbados over the weekend, serving as a bridesmaid in a beautiful long white lace dress.

She shared various photos to Instagram, giving us a glimpse of the day alongside her boxer boyfriend Tommy Fury and their adorable baby daughter Bambi.

However, despite a loyal fanbase and over seven and a half million followers on Instagram, many users couldn’t believe her outfit for the wedding.

Traditionally, people tend to think it’s pretty rude to wear white to a wedding because it can look like you’re trying to out-do the bride herself.

Users commented in shock, with one saying: “Did you wear a white dress to your mates wedding???”

While another put: “Is the bride okay with you upstanding her?”

And one said: “Why did you wear a wedding dress when it wasn’t your wedding?????? Wtf.”

But thankfully, the PrettyLittleThing creative director's fans were quick to defend her, hitting back in the comments and reminding others the dress will, of course, have been chosen by the bride herself.

With all of the bridesmaids wearing the same gorgeous white dresses for the day, fans commented: “The bridesmaids dresses are simply the best I’ve ever seen before they are out of this world wow wow wow.”

Another wrote: “Gorgeous photo, yes I love the all-white colour theme it’s beautiful.”

And one also pointed out: “Hopefully this is seen by all bc these comments did not pass the vibe check! ALL bridesmaid dresses were white & beautifully designed!! Let’s just spread love.”

Many fans even shared their hopes to see Molly-Mae herself in a wedding dress as a bride herself, writing: “Please say you caught the bouquet, can’t wait for a Molly/Tommy wedding.”

And another said: “When is it your turn to get married? I hope soon because you will be a gorgeous bride.”

Molly-Mae and Tommy have been together since they met on season five of Love Island in 2019.

Although the pair did not win the ITV dating show, coming in second place to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, they have been well-loved by doting fans since.

Molly-Mae has a huge presence online including regular YouTube videos, working with PrettyLittleThing and her range of tanning products, Filter by Molly-Mae.

Also documented on her social media and in videos, the popular couple welcomed daughter Bambi earlier this year.
