People have come up with all sorts of creative ways they reveal they’re expecting a child these days. But we think Keke Palmer’s method wins by a long shot.

Forget putting an actual bun in the oven and calling it a night, or even Rihanna’s New York baby bump walk.

Instead, the Nope actor revealed her well-kept secret in her Saturday Night Live monologue - and it was genius:

Taking to the stage in New York City in front of a live audience, Keke began by taking a dig at those who don’t believe in astrology.

“I am very into astrology, and I know a lot of bros out there are gonna say, ‘Astrology isn’t real’. And to that, I say, ‘How’s that crypto going?’”

She then confronted the speculation about her pregnancy head-on, saying: “I’m especially glad to be here though because there are some rumours going around.”

Keke went on to reference the comments she’s been receiving on her Instagram over the last few weeks - some beady-eyed fans of which already worked out she was pregnant.

“I can’t wait for the announcement. I’m so happpppy for youuuuu,” one fan wrote, while another gushed: “Yesss I knew it. Congratulations baby.

Continuing in her comedic monologue, she said: “People have been in my comments saying Keke's having a baby, Keke's pregnant, and I wanna set the record straight."

She then ripped open her coat to reveal her baby bump, before declaring: "I am."

She continued: “I have to say, it is bad when people on the internet spread rumours about you, though. But it’s even worse when they’re correct!

“I was trying so hard to keep it on the down-low… Can y’all stop? I’ve got a liquor sponsorship on the line! Get the cheque cleared, then we can get to the damn baby shower."

Her pregnancy is 'the biggest blessing'.

The first-time mum went on to tell the audience how her pregnancy ‘has been the biggest blessing’, having previously opened up on her struggles with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome - an endocrine disorder which can sometimes make conceiving difficult.

She said: “I’m going to be a mum! Even though some people feel a bit weird because I was a ‘child actor’, I just want to say, look, I’m 29, I’m grown, I have sex, I own a home.”

While Keke didn’t say during her monologue who she’s expecting her first child with, People have stated that the child’s father is Darius Jackson, whom Keke opened up about last November.

She may be expecting the child with boyfriend Darius Jackson.

After appearing on The Tamron Hall Show last year, she opened up about becoming ‘Instagram official’ with Jackson, though the photos with her partner are no longer on her profile.

Keke said at the time: "It became more difficult to hide. We spend all this time together, and he really is my closest friend, so it just becomes a thing where I'm not gonna hide something that makes me happy.

"It's not gonna be everything you see, my job is my job, but at the end of the day this is somebody that is important to me so why not."
