Alongside a heartwarming collage of her enjoying life with her family, she wrote: "Every now & then life forces you to slow down, take each day as it comes & find pleasure in the small things.

"It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks but I'm feeling in a much better place than the last time I spoke with you all.

"Really enjoying the break off of socials & the quality family time… so grateful for my kids for keeping me busy, making me laugh & also driving me crazy all at once.

"I don't normally share piks with emojis on – but these ones were too cute not too [sic]."

Kate also revealed her miscarriage on Instagram, sharing a black and white photograph of herself in a hospital gown.

She said in the caption that doctors had been unable to find a heartbeat at her 12-week scan.

The Only Way is Essex star wrote: "The last time I was in this hospital I was having Cree, but this time it was because our baby had no heartbeat in our 12 week scan and I had to have surgery.

"We were so excited & planning a space for our new baby in our family, we just couldn't wait to see our news with you all, but unfortunately sometimes life just doesn't go as we plan."

She added: "So much to say, but somehow I can't find the words.

"Absolutely devastated & heartbroken .... but couldn't be more grateful for the hugs I got from my big(er) babies coming through the door when we arrived home."

Celebrities were quick to flood the post with support.

"So so sorry my lovely," wrote Amber Dowding. "Thinking of you all! Lots of love xxx"

Lottie Thomlinson added, 'So sorry' while a fan who'd suffered the same loss added: "I've been where you are and I am so sorry that this has happened to you.

"There's no sense in what's happened but your heart grows around that little piece your baby took to heaven with them and they won't ever be forgotten."
